Susanne Lilley Photography’s natural light, home studio is located in Rowville in Melbourne’s South East.

Rowville is located just off the Monash and Eastlink Freeways and is 30kms from Melbourne’s CBD.

When you would like to go ahead and book in, please advise your chosen package and you will receive your booking confirmation.

A $200 session fee secures your session and is due within 48 hours of your booking. Your balance, which is your chosen package, is paid separately one business day prior to your session.

Session fee’s are non-refundable, however in the event of sickness or family emergency, can be transferred to another day within 12 months. This does not include transfer to Mini or Limited Sessions. Please note with Cake Smash bookings postponed within 48 hours, if we cannot use the original cake in your rescheduled session date, the cost of a replacement cake will need to be paid.

When you book in your session, you will receive a booking confirmation email. Please read this carefully, it includes studio or location shoot address, session time, itemised tax invoice, a brief Questionnaire for you to complete and your session Preparation Guide. Your Session Preparation Guide covers what to bring to your session, how to prepare your baby and clothing suggestions.

Neutrals and soft colours work best. Avoid bold, bright colour and busy patterns and logos. Your clothing should represent you and how you most feel flatters you and gives you confidence.

Mum’s will have access to the client wardrobe if you wish to borrow a dress for your maternity or newborn session.

There are options in the client wardrobe for newborns to size 2.

For newborn portraits, wraps, blankets or cute knitted outfits are available.

For older babies a selection of knits and cotton/linen outfits are available.

Cake Smash sessions can get very messy and the buttercream can ruin outfits, please feel welcome to borrow a cute romper or bloomers from the selection of cake smash outfits.

Approximately two to three weeks during peak periods. Depending on my varying Session load at the time. Although every effort is made to spread my Newborn booking dates, there can be occasion’s where clients’ babies arrive earlier or later than estimated. This results in week/s which are more session focused and therefor less editing time and vice versa. Photographing your baby within the recommend time frame is my priority. As is providing everyone with a beautiful and thoughtful gallery, instead of a rushed gallery. Your online proof gallery will include approximately 50-120 images, depending on the type of session and package you have chosen. Once you receive your Online Proof gallery, you have seven days to choose your final images to the value of the package you paid for. You can purchase additional images or upgrade your package if you wish to add more portraits to your final gallery. Once your final portrait selection is confirmed, your gallery will be queued for final editing which is approximately one week, depending on workload at the time. Please note, only completely edited images will be available in your final online gallery. Raw files, which are unfinished, unprocessed and unusable files are copywrite to Susanne Lilley Photography and will not be released under any circumstance.

I have two cake suppliers for my Cake Smash sessions, depending on your child’s dietary requirements.

Cakes can be vegan, egg free, dairy free, gluten free, nut free.

If your child has a severe allergy and is anaphylactic, alternatives to a cake can be arranged to help your little one celebrate their special milestone.

Physical gift vouchers can be purchased for any dollar value and is the perfect gift for your loved one.

As photography styling is so personal, it is important that you know your gift recipient loves SLP’s portrait style.

Gift Certificates are Non-Refundable and cannot be used on Mini or Limited Release Sessions.

As a natural light studio, sessions begin in the morning.

Newborns Sessions begin at 10am.

Cake Smash and Older baby sessions start between 10-11.30am, working around your baby’s nap time as best as possible.

Outdoor Sessions start time vary depending on the time of year. The Session will be during the Golden Hour, which is one hour prior to sunset.

The studio is open Monday to Friday. Should you require a weekend session, they are offered subject to limited availability. A weekend surcharge (excluding outdoor sessions) applies as per Price Guide. Please mention this at the time of your booking if you or your partner cannot make a weekday booking.

Outdoor Maternity and Family Sessions are available on the weekend, during the warmer months. Sessions are held during the Golden Hour before sunset and no surcharge applies.

Your portraits are for personal use only and cannot be used for commercial use, profit or publishing without consent from Susanne Lilley Photography. If you wish to use any images taken by Susanne Lilley Photography for commercial use or to be used for publication, Permission and a formal agreement will need to be obtained from Susanne Lilley, as per copywrite laws.
